Born in Saifai on the 1st of July 1973 to Mulayam Singh Yadav and Malti Devi, Akhilesh Yadav attained early education at Dholpur Military School in Rajasthan. He then went on to get his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Environmental Engineering from University of Mysore and University of Sydney, Australia respectively.

As a Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has initiated many reforms in the state and the Samajwadi Party alike, giving them both a makeover.
Akhilesh Yadav introduced ‘Janta Darbar’ where any citizen can come and present their problems to him. He has taken many initiatives to digitize the government process and make it paperless and transparent. The young CM launched various apps and online portals to ensure and sustain connectivity with the people.
Akhilesh Yadav, in four years has distributed more than 300 crore rupees to the needy and accident victims. This amount is almost thrice the financial aid provided by the previous government. UP tourism has seen a major boost under his governance and now claims the 4th position in the country.
